Dr. Richard D. Phillips is senior pastor of Second Presbyterian Church, Greenville, SC. He is the author of nearly thirty books, including What's So Great about the Doctrines of Grace and a recent commentary on 1 Samuel. He is co-series editor of the Reformed Expository Commentary and is chairman of the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology. Dr. Phillips serves on a number of boards and councils, including the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, The Gospel Coalition, and Westminster Theological Seminary. Rick and his wife, Sharon, live in Greenville with their five children.
